Summary:
The Contract Administrator prepares sales and purchase contracts, negotiates contract terms with internal and external partners, reviews and updates existing contracts, explains terms and conditions to managers, ensures compliance with company contracts, provides analysis of potential risks, monitors legislative changes, and maintains organized records of contracts.
Duties/Responsibi lit ies:
Drafts sales and purchase contracts with input from Company owners and CFO Liaison for negotiating contract terms between the company and external parties.
Reviews company's standard existing contracts and drafts updates for review by Company owners and CFO Create language standards for existing and new contracts.
Explain contract terms and conditions to managers and interested parties.
Ensure that employees understand and comply with company contracts.
Ensure all deadlines and conditions described on contracts are met (e.
g.
, payments and shipping) Maintain organized system of physical and digital records.
Analyze potential risks involved with specific contract terms.
Stay up-to date with legislative changes and coordinate with the legal department as needed.
Required Skills/Abili t ies:
Knowledge of legal requirements involved with contracts.
Familiarity with accounting procedures Excellent writing skills Keen attention to detail, with an ability to spot errors.
Strong analytical and organizational skills Ability to work with varying seniority levels, including staff, managers, and external partners.
Education and
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business administration or construction Management certificate; additional qualifications in law are a plus.
At least 3 to 5 years' experience as a Contract Administrator Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
