Art Director

Our client is a successful omnichannel retailer seeking an experienced, hands-on, and creative Art Director.
This position will require working a minimum of 4 days in office.
Compensation between 120-150k plus bonus.
Art Director The Art Director will have a strong background in retail catalog design, excellent typography skills and will be flexible to work as part of fast-paced, hands on team.
This role will be responsible for providing creative expertise and inspiration for design and production across all Marketing & Web projects from catalogs, direct mail pieces, in-store signage and flyers, social media imagery, brand logos, emails and overall website design and functionality delivered on time and within budget.
The Art Director is also responsible for conceptualization, direction and execution of the creative production of all photo shoots.
An important part of this role is presenting concepts to Executives, working in a very collaborative environment and adapting to changing trends and marketplace conditions.

KEY
Responsibilities:
Oversee and responsible for all design aspects of the brand ensuring they are on brand and achieving sales objectives.
A discerning eye for photo editing, cropping, composition and a strong fashion/editorial sensibility, high taste level and understanding of our target demographic.
Create and execute catalog design from photography vignette concepts, page layouts, text treatments, through pre-press work.
Work with the Marketing Director, Merchandising Team, and Buyer Team to design/create compelling catalog concepts that accurately portray the selling attributes of the merchandise and visually reflect the brand Contribute to elevating the overall brand aesthetic by working closely with the Vice President of Marketing in the development of new looks for the brand.
Successfully manage a team of growing Graphic and Web Designers, ensuring that our creative assets remain cutting edge and ahead of our competition.
Provide regular feedback and development opportunities to team, to ensure engaging, relevant, clear, and on-brand communication.
Art direct photo shoots as needed and train other Graphic Designers, members of the Marketing Team and Photography staff to oversee various levels of photo shoots to keep the creative process on track Work collaboratively with members of the Marketing team, Design team, Photo Studio and Buying Department.
Managing a budget and ensuring goals are met on time and within budget.
Generate enthusiasm, inspiration, and innovation for the Design team and within the Marketing Department.
Create an environment that supports open exchange of ideas, smart risk taking, and fresh thinking.
Establish criteria and work procedures to achieve a high level of quality, productivity and speed JOB REQUIREMENTS:

years of experience in a Graphic Design role Proactive, assertive leader comfortable working in a highly collaborative cross-functional environment.
Demonstrated talent for high-caliber creative catalog concepting with eye for detail.
Proven ability to translate complex design challenges into clear customer-friendly experiences.
Management skills leading a team of Graphic Designers at various levels Retail/fashion editorial experience preferred; ecommerce experience a plus Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, teamwork-based environment Strong communication skills in writing, verbally and through presentations to Executives Strong technical skills, CS5 or above Expert in Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator Positive, collaborative, flexible and energetic attitude a must Ability to work 4

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
