Exposure to volume manufacturing methods including plastic injection molded components and assemblies, sheet metal fabrication, HVAC ductwork, product packaging, etc.

HS DiplomaThe Mechanical Engineering Technician position is responsible for the support of development and improvement of electro-mechanical products and processes related to airflow control and monitoring products and accessories.
The position reports to the Hardware Engineering Manager and will work with the Mechanical Design Group and interact with related departments for experimental investigation, prototyping, final design, and release to manufacturing of new and improved products.
Responsibilities:
Analysis and fabrication of various mechanical components and prototypes, including material selection and assembly of fixtures and test setups for evaluation of current and future products.
Manages lab facilities and test equipment through acquisition, calibration, maintenance, and storage.
Conducts tests and experiments in accordance with documented procedures and protocols.
Works with minimal supervision to investigate technical problems including the design and implementation of appropriate solutions.
REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to deal with ambiguity/uncertainty when necessary and be eager toattempt new and challenging tasks.
